Upon invitation from the Malaysian National Applied R&D Centre (MIMOS), and in collaboration with the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) and the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation under the auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC),
Mr. Mohammed Jasim Mohammed Zidan, a faculty member in the Department of Computer and Informatics Engineering – College of Electronics Engineering – University of Ninevah, participated as a speaker in the IKCEST–ISTIC 2025 Workshop on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, held from August 25 to 28, 2025, at the MIMOS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
During his participation, Mr. Zidan presented his recently published research, which appeared in a Q1-ranked journal indexed by Elsevier, as part of his PhD studies in Malaysia. The research focuses on glaucoma detection using advanced deep learning methodologies.
This participation reflects his academic contribution to the ongoing international dialogue on leveraging artificial intelligence technologies to develop innovative healthcare solutions.
