College of Electronics Engineering Holds Workshop on the Student Information System (SIS)

The College of Electronics Engineering at the University of Ninevah organized a workshop on the Student Information System (SIS) on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, in cooperation with the University’s Department of Student Affairs and Registration.

The workshop was attended by the University Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed; the Dean of the College of Electronics Engineering, Professor Dr. Khalid Khalil Mohammed; the Director of the Student Affairs and Registration Department; along with several heads of academic departments, faculty members, and students.

The workshop aimed to shed light on the functionality of the SIS, which represents a significant step toward digital transformation in academic and administrative processes within the university. It is designed to enhance efficiency and transparency and to facilitate communication between students and the administration.

Key Features of the System:
• Certificates and Reports: Issuance of academic certificates and reports, and support for graduation requirements.
• Administrative Communication: Submission of electronic requests (such as deferment, withdrawal, or change of major), and receipt of official notifications.
• Financial Affairs: Management of tuition fees, issuance of invoices, and tracking of payments and financial obligations.

The workshop emphasized that the SIS significantly reduces paperwork, improves accuracy and transparency, and facilitates access to data for students, faculty, and administrators. This, in turn, supports academic and administrative decision-making based on accurate and reliable data.

Additionally, the workshop addressed the key technical challenges users may face and discussed ways to overcome them to ensure optimal use of the system and to maximize its capabilities.
