As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance academic openness and strengthen scientific cooperation with educational institutions inside and outside Iraq, the College of Nursing at the University of Ninevah participated in the First International Scientific Conference on Curricula and Teaching Methods in Nursing (ICCTN 2025). The event was organized by the College of Nursing at the University of Karbala, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and researchers from various local and international universities.
The conference was attended by Prof. Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Ninevah, accompanied by Dr. Mohammed Fares Abdulghani, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Assistant Lecturer Youssef Qasim Dawood.
The conference featured a number of concurrent scientific workshops that addressed the latest developments in nursing education, modern teaching methods, and strategies for curriculum development in line with global academic standards and the requirements of the healthcare job market.
Prof. Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim praised the efforts made by the College of Nursing at the University of Karbala in organizing and preparing this conference. He noted that the distinguished presence of researchers and academics from various countries reflects the growing academic standing of Iraqi nursing colleges both regionally and internationally.
This conference represents an important step towards unifying academic visions and developing educational curricula that enhance the competencies of nursing graduates and prepare them to meet challenges and changes in healthcare environments locally and globally.
