College of Pharmacy Organizes an Awareness Lecture on Digital Drugs and Their Health and Social Impacts

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Maysar Al-Qutachi, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Omar Thanoon, and as part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit, the College organized an awareness lecture titled:
“The Impact of Digital Drugs on Health and Society and Ways to Prevent Them,” delivered by Lecturer Khalid Waleed, on Monday, October 6, 2025.

The lecture shed light on the growing dangers of digital drugs, explaining their negative effects on both physical and mental health, as well as their serious implications for the social fabric. It also addressed preventive measures, emphasizing the importance of early awareness and promoting health education among community members to help build a safe and addiction-free environment.

This event comes as part of a series of scientific and awareness activities through which the College of Pharmacy seeks to raise awareness among academic and administrative staff and reinforce the role of educational institutions in addressing negative phenomena that threaten the safety and stability of society.
