Department of Pediatrics at the College of Medicine Holds Scientific Symposium Titled “what’s New in Pediatrics”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Asst.Prof. Dr. Moamen Junaid Al-Dabouni, and with the support of Navolac Company, the Department of Pediatrics at the College of Medicine held its scientific symposium titled “what’s New in Pediatrics” on wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Engineers Syndicate Hall, with the presence of a distinguished group of specialized physicians.

The symposium opened with a speech by the University President, who praised the efforts of the College of Medicine’s administration in organizing distinguished scientific activities to keep pace with developments in the medical field. In his remarks, the Dean emphasized the importance of such events for the exchange of scientific expertise in support of the academic and healthcare mission of our beloved country.

The symposium commenced with a scientific session chaired by Professor Dr. Fares Bakr Al-Sawwaf. The first lecture was delivered by the Head of the Pediatrics Department, Dr. Nashwan Mustafa Al-Hafidh, who addressed recent advancements in pediatrics and modern methods in treating childhood diseases. He also presented a number of medical cases and their treatment approaches.

The symposium concluded with a set of important recommendations aimed at improving treatment methods for various pediatric diseases. Best wishes were extended to the College of Medicine and its faculty for their continued dedication in serving the scientific and healthcare advancement of our cherished province.
