Faculty Member from the College of Law Delivers a Lecture on Digital Drugs

Following the directives of Prof.Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Ninevah, and with direct support from Prof. Zina Ghanem Al-Obaidi, Dean of the College of Law, a faculty member from the Private Law Department, Dr. Suhba Nizar Nadhim, delivered a lecture as part of the training course titled:

“Digital Drugs, Digital Fraud, and Ways to Combat Them”

The lecture was hosted at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul, within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the two universities.

The session provided an introductory study on digital drugs, exploring new deviant practices linked to the internet, how individuals can be unknowingly influenced, and the negative societal impacts—particularly their spread among young people.

The lecture concluded with several recommendations aimed at protecting society, including:
• Raising parental awareness and encouraging them to monitor their children’s mobile device usage through specialized applications.
• Proposing legal provisions to criminalize digital drugs, ensuring the safety and well-being of the nation’s youth of our beloved country.
