On wednesday, May 28, 2025, faculty members from the College of Information Technology—namely, Asst. Prof.Dr. Muna Salem, Lecturer Dr. Balqees Talal Hassan Agha, and Lecturer Dr. Karam Mohammed Mahdi Saleh—participated in the scientific forum organized by the Northern Technical University under the title “The Role of Academic women in Building a Sustainable Digital Future.” The forum was held at the College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence Engineering, under the slogan: “Academics Shaping the Future Toward Digital Empowerment and Sustainable Cybersecurity.”
The forum was attended by Dr. Nada Al-Obaidi, Director of the women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with a distinguished group of academics and experts in the fields of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
Assit. Prof. Dr. Muna Salem and Lecturer Dr. Karam Mohammed Mahdi participated in the first panel discussion, which addressed the topic: “Academic women in Education and Digital Transformation.” Meanwhile, Lecturer Dr. Balqees Talal Hassan Agha participated in the second panel discussion, titled: “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education.”
At the conclusion of the forum, the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, honored the faculty members from the College of Information Technology in appreciation of their active participation and outstanding contributions to the success of the event.
