The Nineveh University is a public university established in 2014 in Mosul. It offers a wide range of academic disciplines, including Medicine, Pharmacy, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Law, and Nursing. The establishment of the Nineveh University marks the dawn of a new scientific edifice in Nineveh Governorate, a historic region that once cradled the ancient civilization of Nineveh and witnessed the founding of the first schools.
The law establishing the Nineveh University was enacted on March 3, 2014, marking the beginning of the university’s academic journey with two pioneering colleges: the College of Medicine and the College of Electronics Engineering, both of which had been established 12 years earlier.
