In accordance with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, and under the direct supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Zina Ghanem Al-Obaidi, and as part of the ongoing efforts to promote scientific research and intellectual development,the First Student Law Conference was launched on the morning of Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the College of Law, with the participation of a group of graduating student researchers.

The opening day of the conference began with a speech delivered by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, followed by a speech from the Dean of the College of Law, emphasizing the importance of discussing student research in such academic forums, as it plays a crucial role in enhancing students’ research skills and capacities.

Following the speeches, honorary shields were presented by the college to both the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamed, in appreciation of their participation and continuous support.

The opening ceremony also featured a mock trial activity titled “Commitment to Traffic Laws”, presented by a dedicated group of students under the direct supervision of Dr. Maher Hussein Al-Abbadi, faculty member in the Public Law Department.

The scientific sessions of the conference included discussions of several student research papers in the field of Private Law, focusing on various studies in Civil Law and Personal Status Law.

The sessions concluded with several recommendations and observations aimed at achieving the best academic and legal outcomes.
