Master’s Thesis at the University of Ninevah Explores the Use of wavelength Division Multiplexing (wDM) Technique to Enhance the Performance of Visible Light Communication (VLC) Systems

A master’s thesis was presented at the University of Ninevah / College of Electronics Engineering / Department of Communications Engineering by the student Huda Fares Younis, on Sunday, May 25, 2025. The thesis was titled:
“Using wDM Technique to Enhance the Performance of VLC Systems.”

The thesis focused on Visible Light Communication (VLC) as a promising solution for indoor wireless communications. The study aimed to provide high data transmission rates and secure communication by utilizing visible light signals instead of traditional radio frequency (RF) signals.

The study concluded that this technique stands out due to its ability to integrate communication and lighting into a single system, contributing to simplifying devices and reducing operational costs.

The discussion committee consisted of:
1. Prof. Dr. Diaa Mohammed Ali – University of Ninevah / College of Electronics Engineering (Chair).
2. Asst. Prof. Dr. Firas Sami Haseeb – University of Mosul / College of Engineering (Member).
3. Lecturer Dr. Ehab Issam Dawood – University of Ninevah / College of Electronics Engineering (Member).
4. Asst. Prof. Dr. Safwan Hafiz Younis – University of Ninevah / College of Electronics Engineering (Member and Supervisor).

we extend our best wishes to the researcher and the discussion committee for continued success and excellence
