Under the patronage of the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision of the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Associate Professor Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamid, with follow-up by the Director of the Student Activities Department, Dr. Tamara Riyadh Dhanoon, the University of Ninevah recorded a distinguished and active participation in the University Forum for Pioneer Rover Units (male and female students), held at the University of Basra from 30 November to 4 December 2025.
The forum was organized by the Ministry’s Scouting Committee in the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, chaired by Scout Leader Professor Dr. Asaad Al-Khafaji, with wide participation from more than 53 governmental and private universities and colleges from across Iraq.
The Ninevah University delegation was headed by Scout Leader Mr. Amer Aoun Al-Din Mohammed, Head of the Scouting Activities Division, and included:
• Student Mohamed Ibrahim Mohammed – Rover Unit Leader (College of Information Technology)
• Student Noor Ziyad Hashim – Guide Unit Leader (College of Law)
At the conclusion of the forum, Rover Unit Leader Mohamed Ibrahim Mohammed was honored with the Excellence and Media Creativity Medal, in recognition of his outstanding contributions throughout the event.
The head of the delegation emphasized that Ninevah University’s participation aligns with the university’s vision to enhance students’ skills and build a responsible, aware generation. He added that such a distinguished participation contributes to preparing students capable of earning the “Wooden Badge – Al-Ghab Medal” and competing in upcoming Ministry-level scouting activities.
