Office of the University President

Overview:
The Office of the University President carries out the duties assigned by the President, serving as the executive and directive body directly linked to him. It oversees official correspondence between the university presidency and formal/non-formal entities inside and outside Iraq. Additionally, it manages the reception of guests and visitors, as well as the President’s meetings.

A. Duties of the Office Director:
  1. Schedule appointments for the University President.
  2. Organize office operations and maintain an efficient work environment.
  3. Manage meetings between the President and deans/directors of administrative and technical units.
  4. Follow up on urgent official letters requiring immediate responses from university departments and colleges, as directed by the President.
  5. Conduct annual performance evaluations for office staff.
  6. Notify college deans of meeting schedules and important directives from the President that require prompt action.
  7. Supervise the Confidential Correspondence Unit.
  8. Review incoming and outgoing mail addressed to the President.
B. Secretariat Tasks:
  1. Schedule necessary meetings between the President and faculty/staff members.
  2. Organize weekly meetings for external citizens who need to meet with the President regarding official matters.
C. Confidential Correspondence Unit:

Handles the President’s classified incoming and outgoing mail.
