To review the progress of achieving the standards and requirements for the university’s institutional accreditation, and to monitor the completion rates and address the obstacles facing this process,
Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Ninevah, held an extensive meeting on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamed, members of the University Council and their representatives, the Chair and members of the Institutional Accreditation Committee, as well as the Director and staff of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Mashhadani reviewed the progress of fulfilling the institutional and programmatic accreditation requirements at the university presidency and its colleges, as well as the obstacles hindering the workflow, in order to overcome them and obtain institutional accreditation for the university as soon as possible.
For his part, the Chairman of the Institutional Accreditation Committee and Dean of the College of Medicine, Asst. Prof. Dr. Moamen Junaid Al-Dabbouni, presented an overview of institutional accreditation, its requirements, and its importance to the university and its students, stressing the need for teamwork to achieve this goal, which will place the university among the ranks of leading global universities.
The meeting also featured a presentation by the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saba Abdul Salam, highlighting the completed standards, the delayed ones, and the steps needed to overcome the challenges in implementing them to move forward in achieving both institutional and programmatic accreditation.
The meeting concluded with the University President commending the efforts of the Accreditation Committee, its members, and the university staff. He praised the progress made in this vital area and emphasized the importance of continued efforts and collaboration to obtain institutional accreditation for the university and programmatic accreditation for its colleges. He wished everyone continued success in serving our esteemed university and its students.
