As part of the University of Ninevah’s ongoing commitment to community service and in a notable humanitarian initiative,
the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, inaugurated a Student Talent Exhibition and Charity Bazaar on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, held at the College of Electronics Engineering.
The event was organized by the Friends of Thalassemia Patients Committee, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, the women’s Affairs Unit, and the Student Activities Division at the College.
The opening ceremony took place in the college gardens, with the presence of Prof. Dr. Khalid Khalil Mohammed, Dean of the College of Electronics Engineering, Dr. Madeen Al-Ghurair, Director of Al-Hadbaa Specialized Hospital, the President of the Thalassemia Patients Association, the Head of the Friends of Thalassemia Patients Committee at the University, along with a distinguished group of faculty and students.
The bazaar featured a variety of handmade, artistic, and craft items, in addition to a special section for homemade foods and desserts prepared by students and staff members. Proceeds from the sales were allocated to support thalassemia patients.
At the conclusion of the event, both the University President and the Director of Al-Hadbaa Specialized Hospital for Hematology praised the students’ charitable efforts and their embodiment of humanitarian values. They expressed admiration for the diverse talents on display and commended such initiatives for their role in raising social awareness and reinforcing the university’s mission in community service.
