President of the University of Ninevah Participates in the First Medical Conference of Specialized Centers in Nineveh Governorate*

Under the patronage of the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, and upon the gracious invitation of the Nineveh Health Directorate / Specialized Center Division in Nineveh Governorate, the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Moamen Junaid Al-Dubouni, participated on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in the activities of the first medical conference for specialized centers in Nineveh Governorate. The conference was organized by the Nineveh Health Directorate / Specialized Center Division in Nineveh Governorate in collaboration with the Nineveh Medical Association, under the slogan “We Meet with Performance… to Elevate Giving,” and took place on August 1-2, 2024.

The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Dr. Majid Shankali, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, Professor Dr. Mazahim Al-Khayyat, the representative of the Minister of Health, Director of the Specialized Center Directorate in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Abadi, the acting head of the Nineveh Health Directorate, pharmacist Dilshad Ali Abdullah, the President of the Nineveh Provincial Council, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hasood, the presidents of the governorate’s universities and members of the provincial council, the head of the Nineveh Medical Association, Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Al-Houri, and a distinguished group of doctors from the governorate.

The conference opened with speeches about the health situation in the governorate and the role of specialized centers in supporting the health sector in Iraq’s second-largest governorate. A reportage on the work of the specialized centers and the services they provide was also presented.

The first day of the conference concluded with the distribution of the conference shield to the participants, with hopes to improve the health situation in our governorate for the better. God bless.
