Prof. Dr. Khalil Sayed Murai Wins Best Paper Award at an International Conference

As part of the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, to participate in global conferences, three faculty members from the College of Electronics Engineering presented four research papers at the 22nd IEEE International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals, and Devices 2025.

The conference was held in Monastir, Tunisia, from February 17 to 20, 2025. At the conclusion of the sessions, a specialized committee selected the top three papers in each of the four conference tracks.

The first-place award in the Sensors, Circuits, and Instrumentation Systems track was granted to Prof. Dr. Khalil Hassan Sayed Murai for his research titled:

“Wideband Polarizer Using Dielectric Slabs with Periodic Rings for Satellite Communications”

This research was conducted in collaboration with Mr. Ahmed Abdul Bari, a lecturer in the Department of Communications Engineering at the University of Ninevah and a current PhD student at the University of Queensland, Australia, and Prof. Dr. Amin Mahmoud Aboush, a professor at the same university.

Notably, this is the 22nd edition of the conference, which received 316 research submissions from 35 countries, of which 240 papers were accepted. The conference proceedings will be published in the IEEE Xplore digital library.
