The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Ninevah concluded on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the activities of the course titled “Factors Affecting the Legal Status of Employees.” The course was held in the hall of the College of Information Technology and lasted for three days, starting on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
A distinguished group of academics delivered the course lectures, including:

• Dr. Yazan Saeb Al-Zebari
• Dr. Nawaf Ali Al-Taie
• Dr. Nadia Ahmed Mohammed
• Dr. Zaid Luqman Ismail
• Lecturer Sahar Anwar Mohammed
The course covered several key topics, most notably introducing participants to the legal status of employees and its significance in the workplace, highlighting the laws and regulations governing the relationship between employees and their employers, and discussing legal challenges and mechanisms to address them to ensure employee rights.
At the conclusion of the course, the importance of such programs in enhancing legal awareness and achieving a transparent and administratively stable work environment was emphasized. The following recommendations were also made:
• The necessity of organizing continuous training programs to develop employees’ legal awareness.
• Strengthening collaboration between legal departments and academic institutions to develop specialized training programs.
• Encouraging employees to adhere to the application of laws and regulations to safeguard their rights and duties.
• Supporting legal studies that contribute to analyzing and developing the legal status of employees in line with contemporary requirements.
