The College of Nursing Holds Its Scientific Symposium Titled “Reproductive Health and In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Techniques”

Under the patronage and presence of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Ridwan Hussein Ibrahim, in collaboration with the Rouh Al-Hayat Center for Infertility and IVF Treatment, the Deanship of the College of Nursing at the University of Ninevah held its scientific symposium titled “Reproductive Health and In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Techniques” on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

The symposium was attended by the Dean of Al-Qabas Private College, Prof. Dr. Basma Ahmed, the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Salwa Al-Mukhtar, the Director of Al-Salam Teaching Hospital, Dr. Mudhar Al-Omari, a delegation from the Iraqi Nurses Syndicate (Nineveh Branch), as well as a distinguished group of college staff and students.

The symposium commenced with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the College, followed by a speech from the Director of the Rouh Al-Hayat Center on reproductive health, its importance, and a presentation of the latest IVF techniques.

The symposium, chaired by Prof. Dr. Salwa Al-Mukhtar, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul, included three lectures as follows:
1. A lecture on reproductive health and IVF techniques delivered by Dr. Nadhir Al-Hindawi.
2. A lecture on the working mechanisms of the embryology laboratory presented by Ms. Hadeel Hossam Ahmed Ouda.
3. A lecture on infertility challenges, solutions, and the role of nursing in the treatment and reproduction journey delivered by Assit. Lecturer Abdulrahman Mazen Hashem.

The symposium featured an intervention by the University President and interactive discussions from attendees, enriching the event with valuable and purposeful suggestions. At the conclusion, the University President presented shields of appreciation to the lecturers and certificates of participation to the attendees, wishing the College of Nursing continued progress and prosperity.
