The College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah Organizes a Scientific Lecture on Evaluation Mechanisms in Scientific Journals

As part of a series of scientific lectures aimed at advancing research and enhancing the capabilities of the college staff, and in the presence of the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maisar Mohammed Ali Al-Qutaji,
the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Ninevah, organized a specialized scientific lecture titled “Evaluation in Scientific Journals” on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

The lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Saad Al-Diwaji, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and was attended by a large number of faculty members who actively participated in the discussion.

The lecture provided a detailed discussion of the vital role and significant responsibility borne by researchers and academics in the peer-review process for research submitted to reputable international journals. Dr. Al-Diwaji emphasized the importance of this role not only in ensuring the quality and credibility of published research but also in enhancing the academic standing of the university and highlighting the contributions of its faculty to community service and knowledge development.

The lecture also shed light on the ethical and professional standards of the evaluation process, and its direct impact on maintaining the integrity of scientific publishing and addressing current challenges in this field.
