In line with its academic and community commitment, and in harmony with the University of Ninevah’s approach to promoting health awareness,
the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy organized an educational seminar titled “She is Life” on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in the auditorium of Prof. Dr. Khalil Al-Sayyid mar’i.
The seminar witnessed distinguished attendance, including the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maisar Muhammad Al-Qutaji, the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Omar Thanoon, along with faculty and staff members from the University of Ninevah.
The seminar served as a unique and enriching knowledge journey into the world of women’s health, covering essential and holistic aspects related to women’s physical and mental well-being throughout various life stages. It focused on the pivotal role of hormones and their effects, the importance of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices, and highlighted key dietary supplements and medications that support hormonal balance and overall wellness.
The seminar was enriched by the contributions of a distinguished group of academics and specialists, namely:
1. Dr. Tehani Al-Obaidi – College of Medicine / University of Ninevah
2. Dr. Alaa Maisar – College of Medicine / University of Ninevah
3. Dr. Abeer Mansour – College of Pharmacy / University of Ninevah
4. Asst. Lecturer Israa Abbas – College of Pharmacy / University of Ninevah
The seminar concluded with a key recommendation:
“women’s health deserves continuous and dedicated attention, as it is the foundation of society and the heartbeat of life.”
At the end of the event, the Dean of the College honored the speakers with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their valuable contributions and efforts in making the seminar a success.
