The College of Pharmacy Organizes a Scientific Lecture on “Biochemistry and Its Role in Promoting Sustainable Energy”

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysar Mohammed Al-Qutaji, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Diwaji, and a distinguished group of faculty members, from the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy organized an in-person scientific lecture on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, titled “Biochemistry and Sustainable Energy.”

The lecture addressed the pivotal role of biochemistry in developing renewable energy sources, focusing on how biological processes can be utilized to produce biofuels and eco-friendly materials.

It also discussed the latest biotechnological techniques used to convert biomass and organic waste into renewable energy, contributing to reducing reliance on fossil fuels and minimizing environmental pollution.

This lecture comes as part of the College of Pharmacy’s strategy to enhance scientific awareness, foster a culture of innovation and applied scientific research, and raise awareness of the importance of innovative solutions in the field of clean and sustainable energy
