In line with the directives of the Presidency of the University of Ninevah aimed at promoting health and psychological awareness among students and staff, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized a scientific symposium entitled “Mental Health and Its Relation to Physical Health” on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Dr. Khalil Al-Sayyid Mar’i Hall in the College of Information Technology.
The symposium aimed to shed light on the strong connection between mental health and physical well-being. The speakers emphasized that achieving psychological balance directly contributes to the prevention of many physical illnesses and enhances overall quality of life.
The lectures were delivered by:
• Dr. Ghufran Ali Al-Obaidi – Nineveh Health Directorate
• Dr. Abeer Mansour Abdul-Rasool – College of Pharmacy
• Asst. Lecturer Israa Abbas Ali – College of Pharmacy
At the conclusion of the symposium, Asst. Dean for Administrative Affairs Dr. Omar Thanoon presented certificates of appreciation to the speakers in recognition of their valuable efforts and their contribution to enriching the symposium with both scientific and practical insights.
