The University of Ninevah, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and in the presence of the members of the University Council, received on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, His Excellency the Philippine Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Chsterly B. Manangan, on an official visit aimed at exploring prospects for academic and cultural cooperation and enhancing partnerships between the two sides.
The meeting included discussions about opportunities for exchanging scientific expertise with Philippine universities, particularly in medical fields and other specialties, in addition to exploring the possibility of establishing joint academic programs that would contribute to developing students’ capabilities and expanding the university’s international collaborations.
During the visit, His Excellency the Ambassador inaugurated the Philippine Corner in the university’s central library by presenting a collection of valuable scientific books in support of academic and research activities at the University of Ninevah.
The University President expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this distinguished initiative, presenting the University of Ninevah’s shield to the Ambassador in recognition of his efforts, and wishing for continued fruitful cooperation that serves the educational progress in both countries.
