Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and with the supervision of the International Academy for Leadership and Development, the event was attended by the Turkish Consul, presidents of public and private universities in Nineveh Province, deans of private colleges, and a distinguished group of members from the Nineveh Provincial Council.
On Sunday, January 5, 2025, the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, participated in the launch ceremony of the second championship for Iraqi university debates, held at Al-Noor University. This championship is specifically designated for students from public and private universities in Nineveh Province.
The participation of the University President aims to provide moral support to the university’s students taking part in the debates, as part of the university’s responsibility to support students in all scientific and cultural forums. Eight teams representing universities in the province participated in the championship, which is sponsored by Al-Noor University. A draw was conducted to divide the participating teams, with a judging committee supervising the event to determine the winning team.
During the event, the championship shield was presented to the President of Al-Noor University, Prof. Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, in recognition of the university’s hosting of the championship.
It is worth noting that the aim of this championship is to build and develop students’ abilities, enhance their skills, and foster a culture of dialogue. We wish our dear students continued success and excellence.
