At the kind invitation of the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate – Nineveh Branch, represented by its President, Dr. Muhammad Suleiman Al-Huri, and in line with the University’s commitment to participating in all scientific activities, the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, attended the Third International Medical Conference in Nineveh Governorate on Thursday, November 7, 2024. The conference, held by the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate – Nineveh Branch, ran from November 7 to 8, 2024.
The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, Professor Mazahim Al-Khayyat; the Chairman of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Dr. Majid Shankali; the Chairman of the Nineveh Provincial Council, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hasoud; the President of the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Hassanain Safaa; the Director of the Nineveh Health Department, Dr. Dilshad Shankali; as well as deans of medical colleges, hospital directors, and a distinguished group of doctors from Nineveh.
The conference featured scientific sessions where doctors from the Nineveh Health Department and the Universities of Mosul and Ninevah presented research and video presentations on various medical and surgical cases across specialties. A discussion session was opened to exchange scientific expertise and improve medical services for the people of our beloved governorate.
Alongside the conference, an exhibition was opened featuring modern surgical equipment and tools, showcasing the latest advancements. We extend our best wishes to the Nineveh Branch of the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate for continued success, hoping the conference will result in recommendations that will enhance the healthcare sector in our governorate and country.
