The University of Ninevah College of Medicine Holds the Eighth Annual Student Research Conference under the Theme: “Our Students… Researchers Creating Hope and writing Progress”

Under the patronage and presence of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and the presence of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. waheed Al-Ibrahimi, as well as the University’s Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamed, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Asst. Prof. Dr. Moamen Junaid Al-Dabbouni, with the attendance of the College Council, a group of faculty members, and students—

The College of Medicine held its Eighth Annual Student Research Conference on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in the hall of Prof. Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat, under the theme:
“Our Students… Researchers Creating Hope and writing Progress.”

The conference opened with a speech by the University President, who praised the efforts of the College of Medicine’s administration in organizing annual conferences that showcase outstanding student research—research that addresses various health issues. He encouraged students to engage in scientific research and participate in academic activities to enhance their communication skills and gain valuable experience, which are essential foundations in both academic and medical careers.

In his address, the Dean of the College affirmed the continued support of the university’s presidency and the college administration for outstanding student research, encouraging rigorous scientific inquiry in line with modern developments in the medical field.

The conference included the presentation and discussion of several outstanding scientific research projects submitted by college students aimed at addressing various health challenges. The event was held with the goal of enhancing student skills and facilitating knowledge exchange among students in service of the nation’s health and education sectors.

The conference also featured an exhibition of students’ artistic and handmade works, in addition to a charity bazaar, the proceeds of which were donated to support thalassemia patients. The event concluded with the honoring of the students whose research projects earned the top three positions, along with recognition of the conference committees and organizers.
