The University of Ninevah Participates in the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week in Holy Karbala

The University of Ninevah took part in the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week held in the city of Holy Karbala from January 18 to 20, 2025. The event witnessed wide participation from Iraqi public and private universities.

The University of Ninevah delegation was led by its President, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, accompanied by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, the Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, and a team from the same department and the President’s Office.

The event featured opening speeches by the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Iranian Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, as well as the signing of an executive program between the two sides. Additionally, several memorandums of understanding were signed between the University of Ninevah and a number of Iranian universities. Agreements were made to activate these memorandums to enhance academic collaboration and exchange expertise between the two parties.

This participation aligns with the University of Ninevah’s vision of fostering international academic engagement and expanding cooperation with leading regional and global academic institutions. The event reflects the university’s commitment to providing its students and faculty with the best opportunities to benefit from scientific expertise and modern technologies that contribute to advancing education and research pathways.
