Two Faculty Members from the College of Pharmacy Publish Research in a Prestigious International Journal

As part of the University of Ninevah’s efforts and directives to enhance the university’s record of research published in reputable international databases, Dr. Younis Ahmed Ismail and Assistant Lecturer Saja Saad Ibrahim have published a scientific research paper entitled:

“Green approach based on Micellar Modified Kalonji seeds waste for removal of hexavalent chromium ions and methyl orange dye from aqua”

in the Journal of the Indian Chemical Society, published by the international publishing house Elsevier. The journal is indexed in Scopus within the second quartile (Q2), with an Impact Factor of 3.4 and a CiteScore of 5.8.

The research was conducted in collaboration with researchers from the University of Mosul and addressed the treatment of water contaminated with hexavalent chromium and methyl orange dye using an environmentally friendly green technique based on modified Kalonji seed waste. The results demonstrated high efficiency in removing pollutants.

This scientific contribution reflects the College of Pharmacy’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and strengthen its academic presence in international scientific journals, contributing to community and environmental service.
