University of Ninevah Celebrates World Arabic Language Day

The University of Ninevah organized its central celebration on the occasion of World Arabic Language Day, under the patronage of the President of the University of Nineveh, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Ammar Saadoun Hamed. The event was held on the university campus and was marked by a distinguished academic and cultural presence.

The celebration witnessed wide participation from a select group of writers, thinkers, intellectuals, and poets from within and outside the university, in addition to a large number of faculty members, students, and individuals interested in linguistic and cultural affairs. The festive atmosphere reflected the status of the Arabic language as a vessel of identity, a cornerstone of knowledge, and a means of civilizational communication.

The program of the celebration included official speeches, poetry recitations, and intellectual and cultural contributions, all of which emphasized the importance of the Arabic language, its pivotal role in building scientific and cultural awareness, and the necessity of preserving it and strengthening its presence within academic institutions.
