In accordance with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani,
the University of Ninevah Council received, on Sunday, May 11, 2025, His Excellency the Philippine Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Charlie Baccania Manangan, and his accompanying delegation.
The Vice President of the University and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysar Al-Qutaji, along with the university council members, welcomed the visiting delegation. They presented an introductory overview of the university and its colleges through a special presentation, which included information about the institution. Additionally, the Scientific Assistant, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, provided a summary of the “Study in Iraq” program.
For his part, His Excellency the Ambassador discussed the potential and mechanisms for cooperation with Philippine universities, including the exchange of visits and scholarships. In this regard, our university council expressed its willingness to sign memorandums of cooperation with Philippine universities upon obtaining the necessary official approvals and in coordination with our esteemed Ministry.
At the conclusion of the meeting, commemorative plaques were exchanged, with hopes expressed for further cooperation that serves the educational journey in both countries.
