University of Ninevah Holds Introductory Lecture on the Technology Incubator

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani,
and under the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed,

the Department of Science and Technology Parks held, on Monday, 23 February 2026, an introductory lecture on the Technology Incubator Division at Dr. Khalil Hassan Sayed Marai Hall.

The lecture was delivered by the Director of the Department of Science and Technology Parks at the University of Mosul, Dr. Omar Qusai Al-Shibli, and the Head of the Technology Incubator Division at the University of Mosul, Dr. Khansa Abdulilah Ahmed. It aimed to introduce the role of the technology incubator in supporting entrepreneurial ideas and innovative projects, nurturing the talents of students and researchers, and transforming scientific outputs into practical applications that serve society and promote the knowledge-based economy.

The lecture also addressed the mechanisms for joining the incubator’s programs and the services it provides to innovators, including scientific and technical mentorship, prototype development, and linking projects to the labor market.

The event was attended by a number of faculty members, researchers, and students interested in innovation and technology. Emphasis was placed on the importance of spreading the culture of entrepreneurship within the university environment and transforming the university into a productive space for ideas capable of evolving into sustainable developmental projects.

This event comes as part of the University of Ninevah’s ongoing efforts to consolidate the university innovation ecosystem and strengthen the partnership between academic knowledge and practical application in line with modern development requirements.
