Under the patronage of the President of the University of Ninevah, and with the follow-up of the Women’s Affairs Unit, a workshop entitled:
“The Importance of Legal and Administrative Amendments Related to Women’s Rights in the Workplace”
was held on Sunday morning, November 30, 2025, as part of the annual plan of the Women’s Affairs Unit and in coordination with the Permanent Committee for Women, Peace, and Security.
The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of a number of faculty members and staff from various colleges. It discussed key legal amendments related to empowering women in the workplace and highlighted the role of educational institutions in supporting these rights and enhancing women’s effective participation in academic and administrative fields.
The workshop also addressed important topics related to female employees’ rights, the challenges faced by working women, and mechanisms for improving the work environment to ensure fairness and equality. Additionally, the participants engaged in extensive discussions about experiences and proposals that contribute to strengthening a culture of empowerment within the university.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Women’s Affairs Unit expressed its appreciation to the attendees for their active participation, reaffirming its commitment to continuing programs and activities aimed at supporting women and developing their capabilities in service of the university and society.
