University of Ninevah Organizes a Workshop on E-Services and Access to Global Databases

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, the Computer Center, in cooperation with the Department of Scientific Affairs, organized a series of in-person workshops titled:
“University E-Services and Access to Global Databases (WoS) and (Scopus).”

These workshops targeted faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students, aiming to enhance their research and academic skills by training participants on the optimal use of university e-services and the mechanisms for accessing their accounts on global research platforms such as Scopus and Web of Science (WoS). The initiative seeks to raise the scientific output and research quality of the University of Ninevah.

The workshops were presented by:
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Jalil Ibrahim – Director of the Department of Postgraduate Studies.
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Laith Rabah Mohammed – Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations.

The sessions witnessed remarkable attendance and interaction from faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students, who emphasized the importance of such workshops in facilitating access to internationally recognized research resources and in enhancing their ability to use academic tools for research performance analysis.

The organization of these workshops aligns with the mission of the University of Ninevah to develop scientific and research capacities and to apply the latest technologies in academic work. The university administration also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to hold specialized events that support the educational and research process.

The series of workshops will continue at other university locations as follows:
• College of Electronics Engineering / Al-Khwarizmi Hall – on October 15, 2025.
• College of Medicine / Professor Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat Hall – on October 19, 2025
