University of Ninevah Organizes an Online Scientific Lecture on Cervical Cancer Prevention in Collaboration with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia

In accordance with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, to activate scientific cooperation agreements with local and international universities—and based on the memorandum of understanding with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia—

the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at our university, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Units in the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing at the University of Ninevah, organized an online scientific lecture entitled:
“Cervical Cancer Prevention Strategy in Indonesia.”

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Tofan Widya Vitae from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The event targeted faculty members, staff, and students of the medical group colleges. It discussed the latest strategies adopted in the prevention of cervical cancer and presented successful experiences in awareness and early detection programs in Indonesia.

This activity comes as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening international academic cooperation and engaging with global expertise in medical and research fields, contributing to the advancement of medical education in Iraq.
