University of Ninevah Participates in the Expanded Meeting of the “Mosul Pulse” Project

The University of Ninevah participated in the expanded meeting dedicated to the “Mosul Pulse” project, which was held on Tuesday at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, with the attendance of representatives from government bodies and international organizations concerned with the reconstruction of the city and the preservation of its heritage.

The university was represented by Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Ninevah, who attended alongside Mr. Torhan Al-Mufti, Head of the Secretariat of the High Commission for Coordination among Provinces, the Governor of Ninevah, Judge Abdulqader Al-Dakheel, as well as a number of officials and experts.

The meeting discussed the necessary steps to support the “Mosul Pulse” project, launched by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in cooperation with UNESCO, which focuses on:

✅ Reconstructing the old city and preserving its historical identity.
✅ Reducing deterioration in archaeological and tourist sites.
✅ Revitalizing urban development to enhance community stability.
✅ Supporting investment and domestic tourism in the city.

The participation of the University of Ninevah came as part of its commitment to following national projects that contribute to serving the province of Ninevah, reaffirming the importance of cooperation between academic institutions and government authorities in supporting reconstruction efforts and reviving the city both architecturally and culturally.
