University of Ninevah Participates in the Higher Education Platform in Iraq (HEPIQ) Conference

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and in the presence of the Head of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, Prof. Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayat, the Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul-Dahd, university presidents, college deans from both public and private universities in Ninevah and Kirkuk, and members of their college councils—

The University of Ninevah participated on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the activities of the Higher Education Platform in Iraq (HEPIQ) Conference, which was held at Al-Noor University College.

The university was represented by the University Vice President and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assist. Prof. Dr. Moyasar Al-Qutachi, along with members of the university council and a number of staff members.

The conference opened with a speech by the Head of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, Prof. Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayat, in which he emphasized the importance of comprehensive digital transformation in Iraq’s higher education institutions.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul-Dahd, stressed the significance of digital transformation and outlined the mechanisms for moving toward the fourth generation of education.

Dr. Ameer Thuwaini, Director of the Information Technology Department at the Ministry, gave an overview of the digital transformation process and provided a detailed explanation of the Higher Education Platform in Iraq (HEPIQ) and the services it offers to university staff and students. The platform includes 120 advanced management systems designed to keep pace with global developments in higher education.

The conference concluded with the distribution of student ID cards to enhance educational services for our dear students.
