In the presence of Prof. Dr. Mazahim Al-Khayyat, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Higher Education, and a representative of the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate – Nineveh Branch, along with a distinguished group of physicians and academic specialists, the University of Ninevah participated in a scientific symposium held under the title “International Quality Accreditation and Innovations in Cancer Treatment.”
The university was represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, with the attendance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mo’men Junaid Al-Dabooni, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Nursing. The event took place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Al-Hayat International Hospital, and was organized in collaboration with the College of Medicine / University of Ninevah, the Nineveh Health Directorate, and the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate – Nineveh Branch.
The symposium began with welcoming remarks that highlighted the importance of implementing international quality and accreditation standards in healthcare institutions, as well as the crucial role of universities and academic institutions in promoting and developing these concepts to improve the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.
The event featured two scientific lectures delivered by Dr. Abdullah Al-Naqshabandi and Dr. Abdullah Al-Hasso, which discussed the latest advancements in international accreditation and new developments in cancer treatment methods, followed by an extensive scientific discussion among attendees.
