University of Ninevah Signs a Scientific Cooperation Agreement with the University of Duhok

In its commitment to fostering cooperation with international, regional, and local universities, a delegation from the University of Ninevah, headed by the University President, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, visited the University of Duhok on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

The delegation included the Scientific Assistant, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, the Dean of the College of Electronics Engineering, Prof. Dr. Khalid Khalil Mohammed, his administrative assistant, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maisar Al-Qutachi
, Prof. Emeritus Dr. Khalil Saeed Marai, and directors of the Departments of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Reconstruction and Projects, and Media and Government Communication.

The delegation was received by the President of the University of Duhok, Prof. Dr. Dawood Suleiman Atroshi, the Assistant President for Student Affairs, Dr. Nabaz Ibrahim Mohammed, along with a select group of university council members.

The meeting included discussions and an exchange of ideas, as well as an overview of the academic programs offered by both universities. The two universities signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement, focusing on organizing joint academic events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops, as well as facilitating faculty and student exchange programs, collaborative scientific research, and the sharing of academic expertise. The signing ceremony emphasized the importance of activating the agreement and included plans to organize joint scientific activities shortly.

After the meeting, Al-Mashhadani presented the University of Ninevah’s shield and a bouquet of flowers to Atroshi, expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality and cordial reception. In return, Atroshi presented the shield of the University of Duhok and a number of scientific publications to Al-Mashhadani and the accompanying delegation, wishing both universities continued progress and success.
