As part of its commitment to environmental responsibility and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, the University of Ninevah has launched a wide-ranging environmental campaign to protect trees and plants from the effects of cold waves and frost, under the supervision of the Central Committee for Community Service.
This campaign comes within the framework of the University’s continuous efforts to preserve the environment and promote a culture of volunteer work, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:
• Climate Action (Goal 13)
• Life on Land (Goal 15)
Together, we protect our environment and instill a culture of sustainability for future generations.
The Chairwoman of the Central Committee for Community Service, Asst. Prof. Dr. Dhelal Ahmed Al-Jumaili, affirmed that this campaign will be implemented on a regular, annual basis with the arrival of the winter season. She also invited staff members wishing to participate to visit the agricultural units in their respective colleges to receive the necessary guidance and instructions.
