In line with the academic accreditation standards adopted by the College of Medicine at the University of Ninevah, and within the framework of the Independent External Examiner Program, the college received a delegation of external examiners from the College of Medicine at the University of Sulaymaniyah, including:
Professor Dr. Mahdi Aziz Hama
Professor Dr. Sadiq Hama Aziz.
The delegation was received by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Moamin Junaid Al-Dabbouni, accompanied by the associate deans, the Head of the Accreditation Unit, and several faculty members involved in the evaluation process.
The visit included on-site observation of the conduct of theoretical, practical, and clinical examinations, as well as a review of student assessment documents, particularly those related to exam preparation, ensuring test validity and reliability, and the alignment of examinations with learning objectives and approved assessment and evaluation standards.
The delegation also conducted a comprehensive tour of the college facilities, including examination halls, clinical branches, the examination committee, the skills laboratory, and the accreditation unit, to review the organizational and procedural structures supporting the quality of medical education.
At the conclusion of the visit, the external examiners provided valuable academic and professional feedback contributing to enhancing assessment quality and examination reliability. The College of Medicine at the University of Ninevah highly values these efforts and reaffirms its commitment to promoting a culture of academic accreditation and expanding institutional cooperation among Iraqi medical colleges to ensure improved academic performance and achieve excellence.
