Prof. Dr. Manar Younis Ahmed Kashmoula, Dean of the College of Information Technology, chaired the committee for the discussion of the master’s thesis submitted by the student Ridwan Amer Abdullah at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics. The thesis, entitled “Sustainable Traffic Congestion Monitoring in Smart Cities Using Real-Time Streaming Data,” was supervised by Prof. Dr. Doha Bashir Abdullah Al-Bazzaz.
The thesis addressed the use of real-time streaming data and Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) to monitor traffic congestion in smart cities.
