Faculty Member from the College of Medicine at the University of Ninevah Participates in a Master’s Thesis Defense at the University of Mosul

Dr. Tuqa Muayyad Bakr Al-Sawwaf, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, University of Ninevah, participated as a member of the examination committee for a Master’s thesis in the Department of Biology, College of Science, University of Mosul, entitled:

“Prevalence of Virulence Genes among Major Pathogenic Bacteria Associated with Ventilator-Associated Infections”

The thesis investigated bacteria responsible for infections associated with mechanical ventilation by identifying the causative bacterial species, determining their antibiotic resistance patterns, and examining selected virulence factors.

At the conclusion of the defense, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Science at the University of Mosul, presented a Letter of Appreciation and Commendation to Dr. Tuqa Muayyad Bakr Al-Sawwaf in recognition of her scientific participation in the examination committee.

This participation reflects the active scientific engagement of faculty members of the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh and contributes to strengthening academic and scientific cooperation among Iraqi universities.
