Ninevah University holds its first virtual electronic conference for students’ projects

The Presidency of Ninevah University held on Friday and Saturday, 29-30 May 2020, its first virtual online conference for student projects.

Under the direct supervision and close follow-up of the President of Ninevah University Prof. Dr. Muzahm Al-Khyatt, the staff of the University and students started about a month ago preparing for the first event by organizing a virtual conference on the (Zoom) platform. The conference aimed to present the graduation projects of the students in the college of Electronics Engineering, and studies made by the students of the College of Medicine. In between the sessions, there were presentations displaying the talents of students in drawings, poetry, handicrafts, and other innovations.
The conference was opened with a speech by the President of the University, in which he welcomed all honorable attendees, reviewing the goals and visions of the University, followed by a video article introducing Ninevah University showing figures of achievements.
The first day was allocated to the College of Medicine, during which numerous 15 studies and lectures of (15) were presented by students and faculty members. They aimed to raise awareness about Corona pandemic, prevention, and treatment. Representatives of pharmaceutical and medical supplies companies were also hosted.
The second day was dedicated to the College of Electronics Engineering, where 18 graduation projects, were presented. The powerpoint presentations were documented with videos explaining the preparation of these projects and the achieved results. Other presentations reviewed students’ talents and creativity, as well as success stories for college graduates. The conference also hosted representatives from local and international software and communications companies such as Microsoft and Tornado 3FG.

The conference was attended by a large number of academics from Iraqi, Arab, and international universities, exceeding (1000) virtual visitors. This event was well-received by all, praising the distinguished role of the University, wishing continued success the newly established Ninevah University.
The President of the University praised the role of the conference committees and participating students wishing them glorious places in the sky of science.
