Ninevah University has joined other 36 Iraqi universities in the Russian “RUR” classification, which includes 829 universities in 17 countries of the world. Ninevah University has ranked 23 for the year 2020, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced. As regards to the ranking based on teaching Ninevah University stands in the 17th rank among Iraqi universities, indicating better performance.
It is worth noting that the number of Iraqi universities that entered this classification last year was only four, while this year has witnessed large enrolment in RUR. “RUR” is an acronym for Round University Ranking and is a global university classification, which measures the performance of leading global universities with twenty indicators across four main tasks: teaching, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability.
