A Lecturer at University of Defends His PhD Dissertation in Sports Training Science at University of Mosul

Dr. Abdulmuhaimin Imad Abdulrahman Al-Dulaimi, a lecturer at the Presidency of University of Ninevah / Student Activities Department, defended his PhD dissertation in Sports Training Science on Thursday, 21 May 2026. The dissertation was entitled:

“The Effect of Different Training Methods on Bilateral Deficit and a Number of Physical, Biomechanical, and Electromyographic (EMG) Variables of the Lower Limb Muscles among Futsal Players.”

The defense took place in the discussion hall of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Mosul, in the presence of a number of academics, researchers, and specialists.

The dissertation examined the impact of different training methods (unilateral, bilateral, and mixed) on developing several physical and biomechanical variables, as well as the electrical activity of lower limb muscles among futsal players. It also measured the bilateral deficit of muscular strength, aiming to provide scientific findings that contribute to supporting and developing modern training programs in the field of sports.

The study sought to address the existing variation in scientific literature regarding the superiority of different training methods by presenting experimental indicators that can be utilized in guiding training practices for futsal coaches and similar sports disciplines.

The dissertation committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Tawfiq Othman, with the membership of Professor Dr. Yasser Munir Taha, Professor Dr. Diaa Hammoud Moloud, Assistant Professor Dr. Ma’an Abdul Karim Jassim, and Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulmalik Suleiman Mohammed.
