University of Ninevah witnessed this Thursday morning the holding of an artistic dialogue session entitled “Visual Arts: A Reading in Experience and Creativity,” organized by the Student Activities Department as part of the activities of the University of Ninevah Forum for Culture and Arts, in the presence of a number of academics and individuals interested in cultural and artistic affairs.
The session hosted the visual artist Mr. Imran Jassim Sultan, an employee of the Follow-up and Security Permits Division at the College of Nursing, University of Ninevah. The discussion was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Mahmoud Al-Abd, Director of the Forum. The session highlighted stages of the artist’s creative journey and the most significant artistic and aesthetic transformations reflected in his works. It also discussed the role of visual arts in expressing cultural identity and raising social awareness. In addition, several paintings were displayed, accompanied by comments and observations that drew the admiration and appreciation of the attendees.
The event witnessed remarkable interaction from the audience, who enriched the discussion through interventions and questions, in a cultural atmosphere that reflected University of Ninevah’s commitment to supporting the arts, intellectual activities, and fostering a creative environment within the university campus.
