The President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, extended his congratulations to Assistant Lecturer Aswan Najah Al-Din Abd, a faculty member in the Private Law Branch and Secretary of the Council of the College of Law, on the occasion of obtaining her Ph.D. degree with Excellent distinction.
She earned the degree following the successful defense of her dissertation entitled:
“Ab Initio Study, Molecular Association, and Electronic and Thermodynamic Effects in the Calculation of pKa Values”
at the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, University of Mosul.
The dissertation focused on the theoretical and computational aspects of calculating pKa values using Ab Initio methods and molecular association models, while investigating the electronic and thermodynamic effects that influence the behavior of chemical compounds. The study contributes to improving the accuracy of predicting chemical properties and enhancing the understanding of reaction mechanisms at the molecular level, in addition to supporting research applications in the fields of theoretical and computational chemistry.
Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani praised this distinguished academic achievement, emphasizing that the attainment of advanced degrees by faculty members of the University of Nineveh represents a valuable addition to the university’s academic and research journey. He noted that such accomplishments reflect the commitment of the university’s academic staff to continuous scientific development and knowledge advancement in support of the educational and research process.
The University of Ninevah extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to Assistant Lecturer Aswan Najah Al-Din Abd for continued success and excellence in her academic and professional career.
