The President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, extends his highest congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Reem Abd Ahmed, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, on earning her PhD from the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul, for her dissertation entitled:
“Microgram-Level Quantitative Determination of Several Pharmaceutical Compounds Using Different Analytical Methods,” on Monday, August 17, 2026.
The dissertation defense was attended by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Maisar Mohammed Ali Al-Qutachi, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Saad Al-Diwachi, along with the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Jasim Fathi Ali, and a number of faculty members from the College of Pharmacy.
The dissertation focused on developing and characterizing various accurate, selective, and cost-effective analytical methods for the determination of nine pharmaceutical compounds, based on direct and indirect fluorometric measurements and spectrophotometric techniques. The proposed methods were applied to pharmaceutical compounds in both their pure forms and pharmaceutical formulations.
The results demonstrated high sensitivity and excellent linearity over a wide range of concentrations. Statistical tests confirmed the validity of the proposed methods for routine and research-based pharmaceutical analysis, as well as their potential application in the field of pharmaceutical quality control.
On this occasion, the University President congratulates Dr. Reem Abd Ahmed on this scientific achievement, commending the research efforts made by the university’s faculty members across various disciplines. He also reaffirmed the University of Nineveh’s commitment to supporting scientific research and academic excellence, wishing Dr. Reem continued success and achievement, and further scientific accomplishments in service of the university and society.
