President of the University of Ninevah Receives the Book “Sacred Genocide” by Mosuli Author Saad Saeed Al-Dewachi, Published by Tafsir Publishing House

The President of University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, received a copy of the book “Sacred Genocide” authored by the Mosuli academic and writer Professor Saad Saeed Al-Dewachi, published by Tafsir Publishing House. The book was presented through his son, Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Saeed Al-Dewachi, Assistant Dean of the College of Pharmacy for Scientific Affairs at the university.

Professor Saad Saeed Al-Dewachi is considered one of the prominent academic and cultural figures in the city of Mosul. He graduated from the College of Engineering at the University of Mosul and obtained a master’s degree in Soil Mechanics Engineering from Newcastle University. He also served as a lecturer in the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Mosul, in addition to his extensive intellectual and cultural contributions in the fields of authorship, translation, and scientific research.

The book “Sacred Genocide” presents a critical reading of certain religious and historical texts and interpretations through an intellectual approach that seeks to discuss phenomena of violence and exclusion throughout history using a research-based and analytical style.

The author also possesses numerous published books, translations, and studies, alongside his participation in scientific and cultural conferences and seminars both inside and outside Iraq, in addition to publishing dozens of articles and research papers in Iraqi and Arab newspapers and journals.

For his part, the University President praised this cultural initiative, emphasizing the importance of supporting intellectual and scientific productions that contribute to strengthening cultural and academic engagement within the university community and encourage intellectual dialogue and openness to knowledge.
