Researcher from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah Accomplishes Advanced Anatomical Techniques in Brain Research

As part of efforts to strengthen scientific cooperation and exchange research expertise among academic institutions, the lecturer at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in the College of Pharmacy at University of Ninevah,Assist. Lect. Firas Salah, who is also responsible for the college’s animal house facility, participated in carrying out specialized laboratory work considered among the advanced and highly precise techniques in the field of microscopic anatomy at the level of Iraqi universities.

The work involved performing delicate dissections of laboratory rat brains and extracting the hippocampus region under a laboratory microscope. The hippocampus is regarded as one of the important brain regions in neurological and pharmacological studies, and the procedures were conducted for the purposes of scientific research and advanced laboratory experiments.

This participation comes within the framework of supporting academic cooperation and developing specialized laboratory skills in the field of animal-based research, in addition to contributing to the support of undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research projects, thereby enhancing the scientific and research standards within academic institutions.
